Class Reps, Student Governors & Student Ambassadors
These roles provide valuable experience to students and support the college.
Class Reps
Class Reps should be elected by the group before the October half term. A lesson plan & PowerPoint are below:
Beverley Kendall-McCullock is able to support this process and can answer any questions you may have – please contact her via email beverley.kendall-mccullock@kendal.ac.uk or see her at Reception.
Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors help promote the College and our courses by attending school careers fairs and working at college open evenings. Recruitment takes place in September and January. Please contact Beverley for information and application packs.
Student Governors
There are two Student Governors who sit on the Governing Body. The Corporation is the highest decision-making body in the College and student governors are positioned right at the top of the student voice process within the College. The Corporation is responsible for strategy, finance, estates, human resources, quality and reputation. Discussions and decisions at meetings are about the future of the College, the impact of Government policy and the experience of students.
The role of Student Governor is a worthwhile and rewarding experience for those who want to make a positive difference to the College. The Student Governor is an equal governor to the rest of the Corporation and has a unique contribution to make.
Nominations can be from any student – full or part time and on any level of course. For more information, contact Carole Drury.
